CECE KRECSY & NATASHA ISAAK
CeCe Krecsy’s interior design training began by correspondence through the New York School of Interior Design but, the continuous postings from one remote community to another that came with her husband’s RCMP work in the Northwest Territories, made it difficult for CeCe to launch a career. Eventually, the couple and their three little ones put down roots in Fort Langley where CeCe began building her decorating business, collecting antiques, redesigning furniture and, in time, opened Little White House Antiques.

CeCe’s daughter, Natasha Isaak, studied fashion in college and in 2006 mother and daughter fused their respective love of interior design and fashion to create the celebrated Little White House & Co lifestyle brand.
CeCe’s design work—from holiday decorating to a Parisian apartment makeover—has regularly graced the pages of shelter magazines such as Country Living. Her newest project, My Baby Barn in the Country, will soon be showcased in Canadian House & Home.
Asked to describe their design aesthetic, the pair replies, “A soft style of living—classic and charming at its core—with touches of pretty and whimsy. It’s all about capturing that “oh so nostalgic good feeling”.

THE YORKEEN ROOM
Upon entering the decidedly French-flavoured Yorkeen Room, you can see why CeCe and Natasha selected old world furniture and décor from their very own Little White House & Co to create a “Vintage Pied-à-Terre Noël”. Imagine yourself, after a long day of holiday shopping, coming home to your small apartment in the south of France, your arms filled with gifts.
The classic French sofa and side chairs are topped with soft cream & white feather-filled pillows and a thick warm throw, inviting you to cozy up by the fire. Delicate paper, string, velvet ribbons and vintage decorations await a fun evening of festive gift wrapping. Reflected in the dramatic standing mirror is a flocked Christmas tree from Hunters Garden Centre adorned with antique-inspired baubles and garlands in creams, whites, gold, and chestnut.

Flocked wreaths crafted by Hunters are hung with velvet ribbon on the bay windows and gold fireplace mirror which gracefully presides over a mantel boasting distressed mirrors, candle sticks, French stockings, and a generous garland that puddles to the floor.
In the dining area, antique French dishes in cream and gold are placed atop classic French linens, while glass domed pedestals are filled with holiday delights.
A small boudoir offers a silent night’s sleep with an overstuffed, over-layered bed of pillows and linens in cream and white with chestnut accents. Holiday attire hangs in the vintage armoire while a special Christmas gift sits on the night table waiting to be opened on Christmas Eve. Nothing could better prepare you for the Festive Season that lies ahead.
