EVENT VOLUNTEER

As an Event Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of Homes For The Holidays. Your responsibilities will include assisting with setup, managing guest interactions, providing information, and supporting event staff to create a positive experience for attendees.

Key Responsibilities

• Setup Assistance: Help with the preparation and setup of event spaces

• Guest Support: Greet and assist guests, provide event information, direct them to various areas, and handle inquiries

• Registration: Manage the registration desk, check in attendees

• Monitoring: Ensure the event space is clean, safe, and organized. Report any issues to event coordinators or staff

• Activity Support: Assist with silent auction and Boutique Boulevard, as directed by event staff

• Crowd Management: Help manage queues and maintain a positive atmosphere among attendees

• Tear Down: Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of the event space once the event concludes​

Skills and Qualifications

• Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor

• Customer Service: Experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus

• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other volunteers and event staff

• Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to various tasks and work in a fast-paced environment

• Dependability: Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to fulfilling the volunteer role

What to Bring

• Comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for standing and moving around

• A positive attitude and enthusiasm for helping out

• Any necessary personal items, such as water bottles or snacks
