YWCA BC is a registered charity, gender equity advocate, and community service provider. Their services include affordable housing, child care, training and employment services, and a range of holistic programs that support individual, collective and economic well-being.
Every day in BC, 200 women fleeing violence are turned away from shelters and transition houses because there isn’t enough space for them. These women need safe, permanent housing. The YWCA BC Housing Action Fund was created to accelerate the development of new homes for women and their children.
