THE CONSERVATORY
Studio Albertazzi focuses on story. In the Conservatory at Cecil Green Park House, we imagined the lady of the manor, surrounded by tropical plants, hosting a decadent holiday brunch for gathered friends and we designed this space as a reflection of who our host is and how she lives: generous, well-travelled and a collector who seeks out unique pieces as instruments to tell her story.
Alongside gorgeous arrangements by nevefloral, we chose to juxtapose the room’s traditional architecture with contemporary furniture from family-run business CF Interiors. This enduring Vancouver fixture has tirelessly fostered hundreds of vendor partnerships for over 40 years. We then layered in environmentally conscious fabrics from House of Hackney and James Crossing while

adding patina and depth to the space through antiques. Scott Landon carries a story in his back pocket for each piece he sources!
The Conservatory is further infused with global eccentricity, dazzling colour, and charm through selections from Details by Mr. K, Reijmyre Glassworks, and Pedersen’s Event Rentals. Works by local artists Shirley Claire Williams and Rita Monaco are a feast for the eyes, while mouth-watering home-made Italian desserts by FattoxCasa round out the sensory experience.
We imagine vibrant chatter in the room, both from the invited guests and the décor that surrounds them. Evoking memories and aspirations, each object tells a story about its maker as well as a connection to another time and place. It’s the sum of these parts which offers a glimpse into the personality of our client, the doyenne of this afternoon’s holiday brunch.
