Stephanie Brown Inc. is a Vancouver based Interior Design Studio specializing in refined, highly considered residential interiors.
Founded by Principal Designer Stephanie Brown in 2012, the studio has grown into a boutique team of six, who bring diverse experience, perspectives and strengths to each project.
Working collaboratively from concept through completion, the team creates homes that are thoughtful, personal and distinctly connected to their owners, architecture and surroundings.
With projects spanning Western Canada to California, Hawaii and The Bahamas, the studio's work is grounded in a refined, restrained approach while remaining responsive to the unique character of each home.

THE KANAKLA ROOM
A RATHER GRAND HOLIDAY
A Rather Grand Holiday takes cues from the highly composed, nostalgic world of Wes Anderson, interpreted through a more restrained modern lens.
Inspired by the rich colours, graphic repetition and mid-century sensibility found throughout this films, the room reimagines holiday decorating with a sense of order, wit and unexpected contrast.
Rather than relying on traditional red-and-green palette, the design layers warm walnut, powdery blue, marigold, burnt orange, and touches of deep red punctuated by reflective silver and chrome.
Holiday elements are deliberately simple and repetitive: a natural evergreen tree is dressed with uniform metallic ornaments and cascading silver tinsel, creating a graphic focal point that feels both nostalgic and contemporary. Sculptural florals, vintage inspired forms and carefully considered decorative moments continue the palette throughout the room.
The result is festive without being overly traditional - a space that feels cinematic, collected and slightly eccentric, while remaining warm and inviting. True to its inspiration, symmetry, colour and repetition bring a sense of playfulness to the composition, while a restrained approach keeps the overall effect polished and modern.
A Rather Grand Holiday is ultimately a celebration of gathering: familiar traditions seen through a different lens, with just enough whimsy to make the season feel new again.
