A Parisian Holiday in Coal Harbour
Amidst the hustle and bustle of restaurants and parks in the marina-side neighbourhood of Coal Harbour lies a little West Coast Parisian gem. Located on an average city street, this downtown dwelling is anything but ordinary. As you enter the three-storey townhouse, you are immediately immersed into European ambiance with fine French hallmarks such as herring bone oak floors, intricate wood mouldings and formidable sixteen-foot high ceilings.
In “la petit cuisine”, the bold Mediterranean blue cabinetry is fabulously accented with crystal knobs and gold mesh inserts—the perfect entourage for the La Cornue range cooker. A mix of classic and contemporary décor is most notable with the ornate ten-foot-high Louis-Philippe mirror behind a modern whitewashed wooden chandelier. This contrasting aesthetic is carried on throughout the town home in the most pleasurable way and is never short of surprises.
Shunning conventional opulence, Christmas has been deliberately kept simple and natural with a touch of European bohemia to complement rather than compete with the already stunning décor. Beautiful pieces from Indigo on Robson accent the free-spirited and verdant floral design by Thomas Hobbs Florist, transporting you to a faraway Christmas pied-à-terre in Paris.
